Network Viruses

Network viruses spread through local networks or the Internet. They exploit vulnerabilities in network protocols, shared drives, email attachments, or file-sharing services to move from one computer to another.

Examples and types:

• Worms: Self-replicating programs that spread automatically over networks.
• Email Viruses: Spread via infected attachments or links in emails.
• Network File Viruses: Infect files on shared network drives.
• Remote Exploit Viruses: Exploit network service vulnerabilities to infect computers.
